Jovan Mckinner – Acting Coach

Hailing from Harvey, Illinois, Joavon McKinner is a passionate acting coach and digital creator with a strong foundation in the arts, having studied at Columbia College Chicago. With years of experience both on and off the stage, Joavon is dedicated to nurturing talent and cultivating creativity in aspiring actors.

He believes that acting is not just about performance; it’s an exploration of the human experience that should evoke joy and laughter. His coaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that everyone has the potential to shine. As he often quotes, “He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy” (Job 8:21, NLT), Joavon uses this inspiration to guide his students towards discovering their unique voices and bringing their characters to life.

In addition to his coaching, Joavon is happily married to Shekinah McKinner, who supports him in his creative endeavors.
